About Us - How we started

Karina MacLeod is the owner of TomTomJak.

Initially Karina started operating from her home in Mount Eden, Auckland, producing a line of children's clothing. Later, this developed into childrens décor and by 1998 she was the New Zealand agent for Treehouse.

After seven years with firstly a store on Ponsonby Road, and then later in Epsom, Karina decided to expand the product base to beyond just Treehouse. Hence the rebirth of TomTomJak.

Now the store is bursting with new locally made bed linen and accessories while still manufacturing the same good quality furniture. This is all made in Auckland by Karina's father, a true craftsman of old. 

We are proud to be producing NZ made products.
